The Charles City Arts Center is located in the historic Carnegie Library building in downtown Charles City, Iowa, and is open for free to the public. The building is owned by the city of Charles City and operated by the Charles City Arts Council. Funding for the operation of the Arts Center is provided by memberships, grants, private donations, and interest from our endowment fund.

| monthly exhibits |
The Charles City Arts Center maintains a monthly exhibition schedule featuring the works of regional artists. Artists Opening Receptions are held the first Friday of the exhibition, from 5 - 7 p.m. Openings create opportunities to meet the artists, and learn more about the exhibitions. The receptions are free, open to the public and refreshments are served.

Looking for the time and place to create? The Arts Center offers free studio space to anyone interested on Wednesday and Thursday nights from 5 - 7 p.m. Supplies are available. The pottery room is open for public use with the purchase of clay. *Children under 13 must have an adult in attendance.

The Arts Center facility is available by reservation for special events. Birthday parties with art activities for children and adults can also be arranged. Contact Nicole at the Arts Center for more information and fees.
